‘SMART DI gives us precision and options that we didn’t have before. Complex services such as radiology treatment, medical imaging and diagnostics have all benefited from the mobile application as our physicians now have the opportunity to review patient images anytime, make measurements in real units and leave reports effortlessly. This easily speeds up the diagnostic reading process and gives specialists the mobility they never had,’ said Mr. Iliev, CIO at the hospital.
‘With the application we are now able to perform real-time collaboration sessions with peers not only in our medical facility, but in other medical centers in the country. We are even able to ask for a second opinion colleagues from abroad. They can now leave comments for further discussion in an appropriate time for everyone.’
SMART DI supports collaboration not only during the process of diagnostics but also helps medical doctors in the surgery room. The app now gives physicians the easy option for real-time review of patients’ images on the screen of a tablet, leading naturally to more personalized treatment and enhanced precision.
‘We are already experiencing the benefits from the improved collaboration – both for physicians and patients. The medical staff has greater productivity and generates more revenue for the medical facility. The patient care and planning is now faster and flexible and patient satisfaction is higher,” added Mr Iliev.
SMART DI works on iPad and Android devices with most modalities in the field of diagnostic imaging – CT, CR, MRI, US, MG, , etc and is based on SAP Hana Cloud Platform mobile services which guarantees smooth and secure communication, as well as high performance.
